Thanks for the opportunity. Golden Son was my second favorite of the fine (I think) behind Dark Age – not 100% decided though still.

“I came here to cut you down in front of your parents.” What a monumentally cold line. Really breaks out of the young adult genre into so much more!

Red Rising sparked my interest in becoming a reader. Golden Son has some of the greatest lines.
    “cacatne ursus in silvis?”
“So farewell hope, and with hope farewell fear, Farewell remorse: all good to me is lost; Evil, be thou my good”

When I first read the Red Rising trilogy I was searching for books to read after finishing The Name of The Wind. Anyone who’s read that and A Wise Man’s Fear knows just how dense and impactful those books are. Red Rising was great, but Golden Son cut deep. One of very few books where in some instances I just had to set the book down, truly a masterpiece.
